One of the most important beaches in Puerto Ángel is Playa Principal or Playa del Muelle. Locals dedicated to fishing rent their boats for tourist excursions through the most significant coastal places in the region, mainly to practice sport fishing.

Estacahuite beach is perfect for diving and snorkeling, due to the fact that it is located in front of a coral reef of notable beauty. Another of the beaches in Puerto Ángel, Boquilla, due to its shallow depth, is also excellent for scuba diving.

In Puerto Ángel, walks are offered through the most pleasant corners of the surrounding area. For example, you can visit the Ventanilla Lagoon to observe numerous birds and crocodiles. It is also interesting to go to Chacalapa, to see the El Paraíso spring water pool and the beautiful Los Reyes waterfall.
Due to the profuse nature of the place, there is a great variety of species of flora and fauna to admire and delight ecotourists. Three of the seven species of sea turtles that roam the Mexican coast have their habitat in the waters of Puerto Ángel: the olive ridley, the black and the hawksbill.
